A custom Shopify app — built on the new Shopify Functions API — that combines free-shipping threshold rules with a fully customizable banner across cart, drawer, home page, and PDP. The modern replacement for the deprecated Shopify Scripts (Cart & Shipping Scripts) being sunset in August 2025. Set the threshold, pick a banner template, and the storefront updates live — no theme edits, no developer needed.

Threshold-based free shipping rules
Merchants set a cart-value threshold (e.g. $75) in the embedded admin. Free shipping auto-applies the moment a customer's cart crosses it — no scripts, no manual codes. Supports multiple thresholds, percentage shipping discounts, country-specific rules, customer-tag rules, and product-collection rules.
Pick a banner template + customize the design live
Choose from prebuilt free-shipping banner templates — minimal bar, gradient progress bar, sticky top header, slide-in drawer, animated countdown — and customize fonts, colors, copy, padding, position, and icons live from the admin. Preview updates in real time. Switch templates anytime; the design syncs instantly to every storefront surface.
One banner, every storefront surface — home, cart, drawer, PDP
A theme app extension renders the free-shipping progress bar ('Add $12 more for free shipping!') on the home page banner, cart page, mini-cart drawer, and any product page — all updating in real time as line items change. Toggle each placement on/off from the admin. No theme code edits required.
Built on the new Shopify Functions API
Uses Shopify's Shipping Discount Function plus the Delivery Customization Function — Wasm modules running on Shopify's edge with sub-50ms execution. Native to the new commerce platform; no third-party server in the hot path.
Migrated from Shopify Scripts (Cart & Shipping Scripts)
Purpose-built as a Functions-powered replacement for legacy Shopify Cart Scripts and Shipping Scripts, which Shopify is sunsetting in August 2025. One-click import of existing script rules, full audit logging, and a parallel-run mode for safe cutover.
Conditional rule engine + Shopify Flow integration
Stack rules: % off shipping over $50, free over $100, country-specific thresholds, time-of-day promos, customer-segment overrides, BFCM weekend rules. Trigger Shopify Flow automations when thresholds are hit — fire emails, tag customers, escalate VIP orders.
